Water cooled condensing units are manufactured in 46 different models and cover a wide capacity range. These units are complete with semi-hermetic compressors with displacement from 5.91 m3/h up to 185.26 m3/h and electric motor with nominal power from 0.5 kW up to 30 kW. Condensing units are essentially composed of semi-hermetic compressor, water cooled condenser with safety valve connection, service valves, base frame, muffler and depending by the model vibration absorber installed on discharge line. They can be supplied with oil crankcase heater, oil separator on discharge line, liquid separator on suction line, high and low pressure switch, high and low pressure gauges and, where foreseen, electronic or electromechanical oil pressure switch, capacity control device, unloaded start device.

Refrigerating capacities

Unit’s performances are calculated at the operative conditions quoted from page 8 up to page 15 "Refrigerating capacity". Electronic catalog is available; a software on 3.5" floppy disc or CD-ROM that features all the data introduced in this catalogue and allows to select the correct product according to the specific operating conditions. Available free of charge to all users of FRASCOLD products.

Compressors

Compressors are semi-hermetic type cooled by refrigerant; they are complete with valves, pressure connections, oil sight glass, suction filter, oil charge, rubber vibration absorbers and water cooled heads.

Electrical protection of the compressor

All compressors are supplied with thermistors integral protection completed with electronic control module KRIWAN INT69 for A, B, D, F, Q, S series (INT69TM for V, and Z series).

Water cooled condensers

High efficiency design with generous dimensions, shell and tube sheet are made of carbon steel, tubes in copper with integrally finned thick wall. Water side connections allow supply both with city water and cooling tower water.

Lubrication

As for A, B, D, F, Q and S series, it is carried out by centrifuge with oil thrower disc; for V, and Z series by high pressure oil pump. The oil pump lubricated compressors are complete with oil filter and oil pressure measurement connections.

Certified conformity of FRASCOLD products with the most strict international regulations, is the confirmation that quality is our standard. The whole range of semi-hermetic compressors is in conformity with Directive EC93/68/CEE; on request, are available compressors with Underwriters Laboratory approval (file #SA8157).
